The poet's eye, in a fine frenzy rolling.
Doth glance from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven,
And as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet's pen
Turns them to shapes, and gives airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.

Ladies of Light

I romanced two ladies.
At first light I did seize

True beauty- a spirit
In rock face lace appeared it.

The second night did show
A seductress from the shadow.

In neon light tights, caught off guard,
She appeared on the boulevard.

I sat at dusk and dawn
Not knowing to which I was drawn.

One holds my thoughts fresh,
The other thinks of my flesh.

Body and mind torn sure
To sin and pure allure.
